This 2-day, hands-on course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement and maintain an effective occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS) based on the requirements of ISO 45001. Participants will also be prepared to sit for the ISO 45001 Foundation exam at the end of the course.

Day 1: Occupational Health and Safety Management System

On the first day of the course, participants will learn the basics of occupational health and safety and understand the requirements of an OHSMS. Topics covered include the following:

Introduction to occupational health and safety
Occupational health and safety management system requirements
Hazard identification and risk assessment
Legal and regulatory compliance
Emergency preparedness and response
Occupational health and safety performance evaluation

Day 2: Implementation of OHSMS

On the second day of the course, participants will learn how to implement and maintain an effective OHSMS based on the requirements of ISO 45001. Topics covered include the following:

Implementation of occupational health and safety management system
Monitoring and measurement of occupational health and safety
Internal audit of occupational health and safety management system
Management review of occupational health and safety management system

At the end of the course, participants will be prepared to sit for the ISO 45001 Foundation exam. The exam is optional, but successful completion of the exam will provide participants with an internationally recognized credential in occupational health and safety management.
